This film tells the true story of a Scottish farm boy, whose interest in blending whisky led to the creation of a global icon. Filmmaker Anthony Wonke explores how Johnnie Walker became embedded in popular culture, and remain there for over 200 years. Untold stories, archival footage, and in-depth conversations give an insight into Walker’s past. How did sheer determination take whisky from a small town in Scottland to almost every bar around the world? 

To tell this story, Telly Award-winning composer Walter Mair hired Christian Heschl as an additional music composer on this documentary which aired worldwide in November 2020 on the Discovery Channel.
