Project description

The Accidental Wilderness by Christian Baumeister and Max Meis tells the story of a unique nature reserve just outside Muenster City in Germany. Altough small, it plays an important role and boasts an astonishing history. Feathered guests from all over the world travel through this refuge. Countless rare bird species seek rest in the small, watery wilderness to recharge their batteries before embarking on their journey to their Nordic breeding grounds.

From the very beginning, it was clear that this documentary requires a classic orchestral score contrasted with many fun musical “mickey-mousing” moments. They support the many funny looking movements of birds, frogs, and snakes.
